My name is Brian Moeskau, and I am a software developer and entrepreneur living in beautiful Austin, Texas, USA.
I’ve been developing software professionally since 1994 for companies ranging from startups to huge enterprises, and have done work at various times using technologies like these (in roughly this progression):
- C
- VB and ASP
- Java (mostly web / J2EE)
- .NET (C#, WinForms, WebForms, MVC)
- Front end web stuff (JavaScript, CSS, (X)HTML, etc.)
Most recently I was a cofounder and core developer of the Ext JS framework. I left the company in late 2008 and have since been doing my own thing (a bit of contracting and working on my own projects). It seems my interests have been rapidly shifting into the mobile application arena, and iPhone programming is my newest hobby 
Aside from Ext JS, LLC, I’ve also founded several other smaller companies over the years (as well as worked at a couple of startups), so entrepreneurship is definitely a key interest in addition to the technical side of software. I’m not sure I could ever fully give up programming to run a business as a pointy-haired boss, but the challenges of running a business are often (almost) as interesting as the challenges of building software.
